Description of Thigh or Buttock Lift

There may be an excess of loose and saggy skin around the thighs and buttock areas. This can be caused by weight loss. A thigh and/or buttock lift will raise and tighten the skin around this area producing a firmer and smoother appearance.
Incisions can be made in the upper. inner thighs or above the buttocks and the excess skin and fat are removed before the surrounding skin is tightened and stitched together.
Sometimes for further weight loss and reshaping of the thighs and buttocks, liposuction can be done at the same time.

Medical Facts

Scarring may be visible as the locations of the incisions may vary depending on individual circumstances. However, every effort is made to reduce the visibilty of these by producing the incisions in unseen areas such as under the bikini region and inner, upper thighs.

How You Will Feel:
Immediate recovery usually involves a hospital stay of between 1-2 nights. Compression bandages are usually worn for several days after the operation to reduce swelling and tighten the skin further for a better cosmetic effect.
