Paris probably needs little introduction for most people. Home to fashion, la belle monde, wonderful museums, hotels, restaurants and cafes. It is also an ideal location for patients requiring hip replacement surgery. We offer a hip replacement technique called minimally invasive surgery which attempts to minimise the trauma of surgery to speed the recovery of the patient.

Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement Surgery in Paris

French orthopaedic surgeons are well practiced at performing hip operations by Minimally Invasive Surgery, which is now becoming the norm in France.

A small incision (3-4 inches) is made on the thigh and an extremely high quality uncemented prosthesis is inserted. The surgeon works between the muscles which are left undisturbed and, therefore, do not require a healing process to recover from surgical trauma. The procedure is performed using a Blood Recycling System avoiding any blood transfusion to the Patient. The method of anaesthetic, epidural or general, is discussed between patient, surgeon and anaesthetist, according to Patient's personal medical case.

Minimally Invasive Hip replacement surgery improves patient's recovery.
Minimally Invasive Hip replacement surgery allows the patient to be in an advanced state of recovery on discharge. Therefore a return to normal life can be expected within 3 to 4 weeks.

Advantages of Minimally Invasive Hip replacement Surgery:

  • Small Incision (3 to 4 inches)
  • Reduced Pain
  • Less muscles trauma
  • Minimal scarring with a better looking scar
  • Reduced risk of dislocation
