Vichaiyut Hospital officially opened on June 9, 1969, the medical establishment initially had only ten inpatient beds, five examination rooms, an Operating Room, and a Delivery Room. It was jointly founded by seven physicians—Dr. Sermsakdi Phenjati (Obstetrician), Dr. Boonket Laovanich (Surgeon), Dr. Asawin Thepakam (Otolaryngologist), Dr. Sompone Punyagupta (Internist), Dr. Dr. Pradit Chareonthaitawee (Anaesthesiologist), Dr. Chaowalit Preeyasombat (Pediatrician), and Dr. Thamrongrat Keokarn (Orthopaedist).
