Indian Medical Visas to Grow

The mythic (ie never yet seen) are set to grow by extension so that they last up to a year and can be extended further with the consent of the treating doctor, so reports Mumbai Newsline.

What would be news is if you could actually get such a visa from local consulates and they applied the law/regulations in a coherent way. Ambika Soni may be able to change the duration of such visas but she is unlikely to change the underlying highly bureaucratic nature of the consulates that issue visas.

As the chairman of MIOT hospitals points out: we need some clarity.
